Blackburn Rovers FC - Ewood Park |
 |
Blackburn Rovers are one of the more unusual teams in the Premier League. Champions back in the 90's, they have consistently performed well and some would say 'punched above their weight' . Blackburn is a small town in the middle of a football mad county, packed with football teams, so as a result, attendances at Ewood Park can sometimes suffer.
On the rare occasion when Ewood Park is full up, it can produce a decent level of noise. The Darwen End is where the away fans are situated which is shared with home supporters, however they will move home fans and allocate the whole stand, should your support demand it. The normall away allocation is just under 4,000 fans, split between the Upper and Lower tiers.
Unless your allocation has sold out, there is a designated away fans ticket office where you can buy tickets on the day, if you're leaving it till the last minute. Blackburn is quite a relaxed away trip, alcohol is served inside the ground and it's a pleasant and chilled day out.

Website: The Fernhurst Lodge
The Fernhurst is the traditional away supporters pub of choice when playing Blackburn, although for this reason, the pub can get quite busy if you bring a sizeable following. It is just across the road from the Darwen End ( away supporters entrance ) but please note there is a £2 charge to get in!
The Fernhurst is a large pub which also has Sky showing all the other football games, as well as having a restaurant area at the back. |
The Navigation, 2 Canal Street, Blackburn BB2 4DL
Tel: 01254 53230
The Navigation is a good place to head if you are coming in to Blackburn via Mill Hill station, which is only a 5 minute walk away from the pub. It is a pleasant 2 bar establishment on the banks of the canal and a short walk away from the stadium.
As you can see from the picture, there is a large garden which makes it a decent place in the summer months. |
The Postal Order, 15-19 Darwen Street, Blackburn BB4 2BY

Excellent website, found it very helpful as don't get to many away games.
Recently been to Ewood Park and just thought it may be worth mentioning the charge of £10 to park a car inside the stadium car park and also, although it isn't a massive amount, worth mentioning the £2 charge to get into the Fenhurst pub and the ridiculous price of drinks as this was a shock.
