Norwich City - Carrow Road |
 |
Away fans visiting Carrow Road are located in the South Stand, which is located on one side of the pitch. The stand is quite new and the views are good. The capacity of the stadium is just over 26,000 and the Canaries seem to make a good job of filling the ground, with it sold out most games.
As you would expect, a trip to Carrow Road is definitely one of the more friendly and unless you're an Ipswich fan, you'll have to do something quite bad to attract any trouble from the laid back locals!

The Compleat Angler - 120 Prince of Wales Road, NR1 1NS
Tel: 01603 622425
This is the traditional away supporters pub when travelling to Norwich. It is across the road from the train station so popular with visiting fans. It's also on the river, rather romantic if you have to take the missus...! The pub serves food and has a decent selection of beers. Certainly recommended if it's a summers day. |
Queen of the Iceni - Unit 6, Riverside Development, NR1 1ED

This pub is also popular with away fans visiting Carrow Road, as you would expect. It's in a new Leisure and Retail development on the riverside, only a short walk from the stadium and is open from 8am in the morning, handy if your team has an early kick-off and you still want a pint. |
The Coach and Horses - 82 Thorpe Road, NR1 1BA
Tel: 01603 477 077
Website: The Coach & Horses Website
A slightly quieter away fan friendly pub, this boozer is about a ten minute walk to Carrow Road. If any of you drink ales then I guess you'll like this place as they brew their own. It is also just up the road freom the train station, if that's your mode of transport in to Norwich. |
Rail: The ground is walkable from Norwich train station. If you ignore all those wonderful pubs it should take you around 5-10mins to walk to the ground. From the station turn left and head for the Morrisons supermarket and you should see the ground behind that.
The ground is well signposted from the A11 and A47. From the southern bypass (A47) take the A146 into the city. At the traffic lights turn right and follow the outer ring road: Left at the roundabout. Right at the next lights. Follow the inner ring road round to the right, over the river and the ground is on your right. If in doubt follow signs for the the railway station until you get to the river (where the rail station is off to the left and ground on your right).
The best car park for away fans is Norfolk County Hall, which is well sign posted on the left of the A146, as you follow signs towards the ground from the Southern Bypass. It is currently £3 and can hold about 2000 cars.
