Nottingham Forest - The City Ground

Up to 4,750 away fans can be accommodated in the lower tier of the Bridgford Stand, which is behind one of the goals.  You have Forest fans to the side of you in A Block and also in the tier above you, which can make for a cracking atmosphere and banter at times. The atmosphere in the stand is good and away fans can generate a decent noise when visiting the City Ground.

Obviously with the City Ground being in Nottingham, it can make for a decent away weekender. We are not sure of the exact stats but there is a theory that there is a higher percentage of women in Nottingham, than anywhere else in the UK! And don't forget one of the away friendly pubs near The City Ground is Hooters! Definately worth a visit.

Hooters, Hicking Building, Queens Rd, NG2 3AS
Tel: 0115 958 8111
Website: Hooters Nottingham

In keeping with this websites theme, we would be foolish not to reccomend this pub as a top choice if you're coming to Nottingham! Yes, it is your traditional Hooters set-up, lots of loved bar-women wearing not an awful lot. It's quite a way from the stadium, but there's not alot close to the City Ground anyway, so head here!

Infact we are so certain that you should head here, we're not even going to bother mentioning any of the other bars in Nottingham ( there is alot ) .

 Public Transport

Rail: The ground is walkable from Nottingham railway station (20mins). As you come out of the main station entrance, turn left and then left again. Follow the road down to the dual carriageway and then turn right. The ground is about 3/4's of a mile down the dual carriageway on the left, just over Trent Bridge.

 Directions

From The North:
Leave the M1 at Junction 26 and take the A610 towards Nottingham and then signs for Melton Mowbray. Cross the River Trent and you will see the ground on your left. Alternatively as you approach Nottingham on the A610 you will pick up signs for 'football traffic'. Although following these seems to take you all round the outskirts of Nottingham you do eventually end up at the City Ground, along the A6011.

From The South:

Leave the M1 at Junction 24 and take the A453 towards Nottingham. Then take the A52 East towards Grantham and then onto the A6011 into Nottingham. The ground is situated by the A6011.

 Parking

There is a large car park at the ground, otherwise there is street parking in the local area, or park in the City Centre and take the 20 minute walk to the City Ground.
