Notts County FC - Meadow Lane

After previously being housed in the Kop End at one end of the ground, after fan pressure the club have decided to move fans out and now they are situated in part of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand which is on one side of the ground. The atmosphere at Meadow Lane can sometimes be indifferent but the facilities are good and the locals are friendly.

Nottingham is definitely one which comes recommended and if you are looking for an away trip to turn into a lads weekender then you could do a lot worse than pick here!

The Globe, 152 London Road, NG2 3BQ

The Globe is on the main London Road, just over the hump back bridge over the canal. It's a decent open-plan pub that welcomes away fans.

It also shows all the football if you fancy catching the lunch kick-off before your match with Notts County.

Hooters Nottingham

In keeping with this websites theme, we would be foolish not to recommend this pub as a top choice if you're coming to Nottingham! Yes, it is your traditional Hooters set-up, lots of loved bar-women wearing not an awful lot. It's quite a way from the stadium, but who cares!

The Waterfront, Castle Wharf, Canal St, NG1 7EH
Tel: 0115 9799 9111

For something a bit different you might want to take the short walk to this pub when you arrive at the train station. It's just on the edge of the City centre. It does decent and well priced food and drink.

 Public Transport

Rail: The ground is a ten minute walk from Nottingham train station. As you exit the station, turn left across a car park and then turn right at the traffic lights. The ground is about a 5 minute walk down the dual carriageway on your right.

 Directions
Leave the M1 at Junction 26 and take the A610 towards Nottingham and then follow the signs for Melton Mowbray. Turn left before the River Trent in to Meadow Lane.
 Parking
Parking is available at the Cattle Market directly opposite the away end which will cost you £3 a car. You can also park at Nottingham City Council's Eastcroft depot (NG2 3AH) which costs £4 per car.. The depot is a five minute walk from Meadow Lane, located just off London Road and opposite Hooters, which is handy if that is going to be your pre-match drinking venue.

Alternatively there is plenty of street parking.
