Away fans are housed in the Bill Shankly Kop behind one of the goals, which houses 3,000 fans ( which can be increased to 6,000 for Cup games ) . One real plus point of this ground is the fact they not only show the game live in the concourses... but they serve beer during the game! Taking into account most of your away support will be pissed from a night in Blackpool... you could end up not seeing any of the game.
For a weekender it is a no-brainer. Take a trip to Blackpool then the short train journey across to Preston for the match.

The Old Vic, 78 Fishergate, PR1 2UH Tel: 01772 254690
There is a shortage of decent boozers close to the stadium, so you may find yourself having to look further afield. This pub is round the corner from the train station. It's a bit spit and sawdust but it allows away fans in and is a good place to meet.
The Sumners - 195 Watling Street Road, Preston Tel: 01772 705626
This is one of the few pubs that are away friendly and in close proximity to Deepdale. It offers reasonable priced food and has a garden for the smokers. If you have any information on this pub then please contact us.
Public Transport
Rail: Preston station is around a mile and a half from the ground and takes around twenty five minutes to walk. If you are lazy like the AwaySupporters team, you'll probably want to grab a taxi for a fiver!
Directions
Leave M6 at Junction 31 and follow signs Left for Preston. Go up a steep hill (often a police speed trap on the hill, so stick to 30) and follow the road down to a mini roundabout (speed camera by the BP garage on the left). At the roundabout with the Hesketh Arms turn right into Blackpool Road. Go straight on over three sets of lights and just before a fourth set, the ground appears set slightly back on the left.
Parking
The club hopes to provide some parking for visiting fans behind the new Bill Shankly Stand. Alternatively, local schools eg in Moor Park Avenue and St Stephens Road (off Deepdale Road) offer safe parking for up to 200. Plenty of street parking around ground - although avoid Lowthorpe Road, Hollins Road, Parkside, and St Stephens Road, which are emergency access routes. Cars parked there will be towed away.
