Away supporters are normally allocated the upper tier of the West Stand, also known as the Leppings Lane Stand which can house up to 3,700 supporters. The lower tier and corner can also be allocated for cup matches or if your team bring a large following, which takes the allocation to 8,000.
Sheffield is a good day out and a night in Sheffield after is a good one, with plenty of nightlife ( nightclub guide coming soon ) . Hillsborough is certainly one for the "against modern football" crowd to visit.

The Wadsley Jack is a 15 minute walk from Hillsborough ( uphill though and quite a climb on the way! ) and welcomes away fans. It's a traditional English country themed pub that serves decent beer with friendly staff.

The Horse and Jockey is a popular pub for away fans and one of the closest to the Leppings Lane end. It's half way up the huge hill that takes you to the Wadsley Jack. If you're a little bit heavy on your feet you might want to get a cab. It's only a 10 minute walk from Hillsborough though...

The Phesant Inn welcomes away supporters as long as you're behaving yourself. It's a decent pub that can get busy on match days. There is an excellent chippy over the road if you are looking to grab a bite to eat as well though. A good stop for a pre-match pint in a friendly modern pub.

Rail: Sheffield train station is over 3 miles from Hillsborough, so you would be advised to catch a taxi closer to the ground or to your pre-match drinking venue.
From the North: Exit the M1 at junction 34, following signs for Sheffield A6109. After one and a half miles you will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit on to the A6102. After three miles turn left into Harries Road South for Sheffield Wednesday FC.
From the South: Take the A57 turning off the M1 (junction 31 or 33). At the roundabout junction with the Ring Road, take the third exit into Prince of Wales Road. After six miles, turn left into Harries Road South for Sheffield Wednesday FC.
From the West: Take the A57 (signposted Sheffield) then turn left on to the A6101. After four miles you will come to a T-junction. Turn left here into Penistorn Road for Sheffield Wednesday FC.
From the East: Take the A57 turning off the M1 (junction 31 or 33). At the roundabout junction with the Ring Road take third exit into Prince of Wales Road. After six miles turn left into Harries Road South for Sheffield Wednesday FC.
Owlerton Greyhound Stadium is a good place to park your car. This is about a ten minute walk to Hillsborough, but usually gets full quite early.
Some local schools often open for parking, such as the Chaucer School which is located on the A61.
