Stoke City FC - The Britannia Stadium
The Britannia Stadium is a nice, neat stadium, certainly much better than their previous home, the Victoria Ground. Away supporters are located in the South Stand where the maximum allocation is 2,800. The away fans are on one side of the stand, near the players tunnel and the main stand, whilst Stoke fans are next to you on the other side, which always makes for good banter.
Although the police and the club are starting to get on top of things with regards to trouble at the Britannia stadium, it's still a lively place. Having said that, most of Stokes hooligan element have now been banned, so if it's been a few years since your last visit, then you can expect a much more relaxed day out.

There is a bar attached to the local 5-a-side football pitches which allows away fans in, in small groups. There is Sky Sports in the bar, but as you can expect, it does tend to get busy. You can park your car there for £4.50 though if you are short on time / lazy.

Away supporters are allowed into this pub at the owners discretion, do to its close proximity to the Britannia Stadium and the fact it's the only pub within easy reach, you're advised not to wear colours. You can park your car / minibus in the pub for a charge of £3.
Food is also served in this pub and there is a Holiday Inn attached if you are thinking about staying.
Rail: Stoke-on-Trent is the closest railway station to the Britannia Stadium, but be warned that it's quite a long walk from the station to the ground from here.
Leave the M6 at Junction 15, and take the A500 to Stoke-on-Trent. At the roundabout, take the A50 following the signs for Derby / Uttoxeter. Continue along the A50 and the stadium is on your right. Take the first exit after the stadium and come back down the A50 on the westbound carriageway.
Access to the Britannia Stadium is restricted on matchdays. There is parking within the stadium complex, you will need to purchase your ticket from Stoke City's website. There is also parking in Industrial estates a distance from the ground, it's quite a walk from them though.

Support me in trying to provide better pre match facilities for away supporters who travel by coach or minibus. I have been running a very successful away supporters club in Stoke since the start of the 2009 season.
This was the year that Stoke joined the Premiership. After spending years visiting grounds around the country, being pushed around like cattle and receiving sub-standard service, I was determined to put Stoke on the hospitality map by providing visiting supporters with the one of the best and affordable pre match venues they will visit whilst also providing much needed funds for grass roots sport.
Supporters can meet and enjoy the occasion, by having a beer; something to eat followed by a lot of banter and plenty of singing. Whilst the kids can run wild in safety, No home fans, No doormen, No trouble and only a police presence when you leave, to provide you with an escort from the venue to the stadium. Too good to be true? Ask anyone who has visited us such as one the 450 Manchester City fans who came to us on the 15th Sept. My intention is to build more venues like this close to other grounds.
